SDG Principles

CLTF's environmental proposal would support the achievement of the following SDGs

ODS 5: Gender Equality: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.

ODS 6: Clean Water and Sanitations: calls for ensuring universal access to safe and affordable drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, and ending open defecation. It also aims to improve water quality and water-use efficiency and to encourage sustainable abstractions and supply of freshwater.

ODS 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: Achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all, including young people and the disabled, as well as equal pay for work of equal value. Eradicate forced and child labour and protect labour rights.

ODS 10 – Reduced Inequalities: calls for reducing inequalities in income as well as those based on age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status within a country.

ODS 13 – Climate action: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Every person, in every country in every continent will be impacted in some shape or form by climate change. There is a climate cataclysm looming, and we are underprepared for what this could mean.

ODS 15 - Life on land: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
